Basin School District  072

Missions Statement

To help prepare students to become successful citizens of a global community.

“Educating today’s children for tomorrow’s world”

Beliefs:

All students can learn.

Students learning is the chief priority for the school.

Administrators, Teachers, staff, parents, students and community members share in the responsibility for providing a supportive environment  within the school.

Each student is valued as an individual with unique intellectual, physical, social, emotional needs.

Students learn in different ways and should be  provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.

Assessments of students learning should provide students with a variety of opportunities to demonstrate their achievement and authentic contexts to apply their learning.

The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.

Completion of our K-12 program students of Basin 72 should

demonstrate:

A commitment to life long learning.

The ability to think critically, creatively and independently.

A well-rounded character that values integrity and a cooperative work ethic.

Technologically proficient.
A desire for meaningful community service.
