Cans for Kids

If you have driven by a fenced container full of aluminum there is a good chance you you have seen Roger Kuhse’s fundraising recycling program that directly benefits the Basin School District in Idaho City.  Roger is a long time resident of Boise County who created the recycling program over ten years ago.  Over the years his efforts have resulted in funding for school activities, benevolent funds, after school activities and a whole host of student related needs.
Thank you Roger for all your time and effort.

Roger’s program has been so successful the district is looking into grants that would fund a hydraulic crusher so the district’s students can take the recycling program to the next level since the closest recycling facility is Boise.

You may drop off your aluminum cans only in plastic bags to the corner of Thorn Creek and Highway 21, Hill Top, Centerville “T”, and the Idaho City High School Parking lot site.
